The Gifting Email Shows a Different Ship Than I Bought — Why?

Modified on Thu, 29 Jan at 12:53 PM

Sometimes the ship name shown in the RSI gifting email doesn’t match what you purchased. This is normal and happens because of how the CIG gifting system displays gifted items.

Why the Email Name Can Be Different

CIG’s gifting system typically shows the base ship or vehicle in the gifting email—not the final upgraded ship you actually purchased.

Example

If you ordered a Zeus CL with LTI, but the gifting email says you received a Pulse, there’s no need to worry.

  • The Pulse is the base ship used for the gift.
  • That base ship has been upgraded to the ship you ordered (in this example, the Zeus CL).

What You’ll See After Claiming

Once you claim the gift, your RSI hangar (and the game) will reflect the correct final ship you ordered. The upgraded ship will appear properly in your account.

Notes / Tips

Even if the gifting email looks confusing, it’s usually just showing the base pledge used for the upgrade chain. After claiming, your hangar will show the actual ship you purchased. Enjoy your new ship!
