Why Can’t I Find Standalone Idris-P, Kraken, or Javelin Ships for Sale?

Customers often ask why they can’t find anyone selling only capital ships such as the Idris-P, Kraken, or Javelin as standalone gifted items. The reason is tied to RSI’s gifting limits.

Why These Ships Can’t Be Gifted

Almost all capital ships, including the Idris-P, Kraken, and Javelin, are valued at over $1,000.

RSI accounts are subject to a daily gifting limit of $1,000. Because these ships exceed that limit:

• They cannot be gifted under any circumstances

• Transfers will fail even if attempted

• CIG/RSI Support cannot override this restriction

This limit exists due to strict U.S. money-laundering regulations, and it is not something that can be bypassed.

“But the Ship Has a Gift Button”

Some capital ships may still show a Gift button in the RSI hangar. However, even if the button appears:

• The transfer will not work

• The gifting limit will still block the transaction

How Can I Obtain a Capital Ship Over $1,000?

If you want a capital ship that exceeds the gifting limit, the only practical option is to purchase a full Star Citizen account that already has the ship attributed to it.
