If your ship or package includes a skin/paint but you can’t apply or see it in-game, this is often because the paint has not yet been fully created or implemented by Cloud Imperium Games.
Why This Happens
Star Citizen is still in active development. While some ships already support paints, not all listed skins or paints are currently available in-game.
This means:
- The paint may exist as a pledge item on your account
- But it may not yet be usable until CIG adds support for it
Will It Be Available Later?
Yes. Over time, CIG continues to:
- Add new paint systems
- Expand paint support to more ships
- Implement previously unreleased skins
As development progresses, more paints will become usable.
Notes / Tips
If your ship should include a skin but you can’t use it yet, it’s likely because the paint hasn’t been implemented in-game. It should become available once CIG adds support for it in a future update.
